Hi all.
MR340 veteran Bates here. Been out of the paddling scene for a while, but I am looking to get back in. Live in St. Paul MN now and wondered if anyone knows of races up this way. Let me know.
(Yes I tried google, but turned up very little)

A group is working on starting a set of distance races on the upper Mississippi.  They don't have registration open yet, and perhaps are still working out some details.  You can follow the below page on Facebook, and I'll try to remember to post the website link on this thread once it becomes available.

Has there been any interest in this race from the St. Louis area? I'd really like to try the 140 out as the views from Minnesota nd the Mississippi River will be terrific. Plus, good training for the 340.

I just got in contact with the race organizers. Looks like it is a go next year. Lots of distance options and some good paddlers. Sub 10 mph with portages over 140 mi.
This end of the river is gorgeous with some rapids. I am thinking about this cor next June
