For all Concept 2 rowers, skierg, bike, paddle, etc, don't forget to enroll in the Concept 2 holiday challenge 11/28-12/24. Great way for a non-profit to receive a donation through C2 and of getting / staying fit during the cold (and fattening) holiday season. A few less calendar days makes for a tougher challenge this year but Rivermiler's like that!
Main thing is to just do it but if you need a team, the Lunatics is a friendly bunch. Have met numerous rowers & Paddler's through Rivermiles. If you hit either the 100k or 200k challenge, post and pat yourself on the back  Smiley. Happy and healthy holidays to all!

Got a late start, but working on it now. The shorter time span this year will make it tough for sure.

Passed 200k meters with four days to spare Grin! Charity contribution through C2 for meters rowed through 12/24, so the erging continues. Also looking forward to getting the pin Wink.

Challenge ended midnight on 12/24. Total meters, 243,243 meters. An accidental palindrome! Anyone else earn a pin?

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannakuh and wishing for safe and great paddling in the 2020 season for all Rivermiles members  Smiley!

I logged 243,010 meters of running and paddling outdoors during that time frame. I can’t imagine spending that time indoors on a rowing machine. I’d go crazy.

Indoor erging is an acquired taste. Have been doing a 50/50 routine, meaning 50k weekly rowing and also 50k run/walking. The Holiday Challenge is a well-timed goal to burn off some of those winter calories. Kudo's to C2 for supporting environmental causes as part of the event.
