This ski is very very fast ...and hence tippy.  But it makes a great platform to build a full on OC-1 conversion or build an outriggered boat with original ski bucket.  I have done two with Mako skis over the years ...both were excellent performers right up there with any commercial oc-1.  You basically raise the seat with a pad or a permanent modification or can even glass aluminum rails in...put in a slider bucket and have areas for hydration bladders under seat.  I use high end extendable painters poles and make my own ama.  Sound redneck...but you can get very professional looking results and it paddles excellent.   Just an idea.

here is a mako millenium ski conversion just before chattajack race....very similar lines to the hurrricanes in the picture.   The boat came in 4th place with me along for the ride Smiley
