Blackwater, Mo access exit 89 off I 70.
12 miles on Blackwater and Lamine rivers. This is your opportunity to sharpen your pacing and sprinting.
Two heats-9 am  for all canoes, rec class, SUP and kayak/surfski up to 18'. Second heat at 9:20 for unlimited, outrigger, team, and kayak/surfski over 18'.
Medals 1-3, snacks and drinks at end of race, $15.00 entry fee.

I have cleaned out my library and have stuff to give away-canoe plans, books on building canoes, training videos, 1 three ring binder with 340 race maps (may need to be updated) 7 years of Wooden Canoe magazine, and other stuff.  This should be a fast and fun day on the river.

You may even get to see a bobcat if you turn left at the start instead of right.

Was just at the start this morning and looks good!
Planning on two starts-9 and 9:20, estimating 40 boats. There is a restaurant in Blackwater, 1 mile from start, that opens 7 am on Sat. I will have water and bananas at start and snacks at end. Only $15.00 per paddler and other good news you don't have to wear a pfd just have it available in case. Its going to be hot- about 75 degrees hotter than the Gutbuster Smiley
If anyone wants to be the sweep boat let me know

Charlie,

Do you need us to register ahead of time or at the race.  Easy either way.

If you two are running tandem in the K2 we will all have to look out for the vortex behind you.  You two will literally be putting  dent in the space time continuum!
