Remember to look around you. This video is shot down next to the boat ramp so you can see the banks up and down the river.

This is a second video from La Benite with a higher POV

I know I've said this before but I find these checkpoint / ramp videos fascinating.  Other than Jefferson City and St. Charles my only point of view at these places  is a ramp, a parking lot and a block restroom.  I've only seen more of Jeff City because it was the finish line for the Freedom Race.  I've never even touched Lexington.  The closest I've ever been to it was to cruise by on river left while waving at my ground crew.

Great videos, especially the 360 degree thing.

Wink  Well yes, there sure is something that I'd like to see some video on:  I remember from a few years back I was somewhere below Klondike at around 4 am on night #2 - There were these huge holes in the middle of the river, lined with stone like  a giant well.  Down inside the wells were Medieval style villages with houses, people, animals and all that.  I could see them very clearly and even paddled directly over one of them so I could look directly down into the village.  I remember thinking that they were  crazy people to live there 'cause if the river level came up even another inch it would flood over the walls of the wells and fill up the villages.

So yes, I'd really like to see some picture proof of all that.  It seems that everyone that I tell about this (with the exception of MR340 veterans) just listen politely and then start looking at me kinda funny.   Undecided
