Cleaning out the shop and am giving away forms for canoes. This is a chance to get into or continue your homebuilt canoe hobby. Forms include a Jensen P10 pro boat, Sawyer Shockwave, 17' Hazen rec style, Skip Johnson 19' surfs style (19") width, Front forms for a Jensen J210 (I can give you the rear forms in paper). I have built the above plus a Landick style out of them. You only need to construct a strong back to mount them then rip the wood strips and get to work. Average cost is about $500.00 in materials for strips , seats, glass and epoxy to make a a boat. These were hand cut not cnc'd from 1/2" ply or 7/16 osb. Serious inquiries, don't take and throw in the barn. I will help anyone who wants to build a boat. 573-442-7109

Charlie, do you still have the forms for the Sawyer Shockwave? I love that boat. Always thought about building a solo canoe and given the choice this is the one I'd pick.

Thanks John R.

Hey Charlie - here are a couple of pics of the boat I built last winter using the Shockwave plans. I stretched it to 17' and narrowed it about an inch. It paddles great! I know I'm a ways away from you, but I'd really be interested in another project. I don't know what shipping would be on the wooden forms, but I'd love to get some paper forms for the Jensen boats. They won't just sit on a shelf I assure you. Let me know if you'd be willing to spend a little tracing time, and I'd make it worth your while! Thanks.

WOC paddler, very nice boat. You are living my dream. Lol. Seriously though you did a very good job on that boat. How much did it end up weighing?

Thanks John.  It was a great project last winter.  It ended up a little heavier than I originally thought it would be.  The bare hull, glassed in and out, was just about 30.  I put full inner and outer gunwales, decent sized decks and front and rear flotation chambers, and multiple thwarts and adjustable footbrace.  I think I'm looking at around 50 pounds or so, but it's nice and sturdy though.  I'm toying with the idea of a rudder because it's a lot of boat to turn.  Anyway, when you get going on a project keep us updated!

Charlie,
Could you send me the J210 forms, or the written plans and I can cut the forms myself. Whichever works for you.
Thanks,
Keith

Charlie I sent another PM. Please let me know if you would hold that set for me for a couple weeks until I can get up that way. Thank you!
