Hey everyone. Race For The Rivers is back for it's 11th year on August 26, 2017. Same course and divisions as past years. The big bonus this year is we're partnering with Bass Pro Shops and their Outdoor Days, so the festival will be much bigger, with a whole lot more activities and music for you and your families.

There will be a kayak pool, fishing "ponds," a turtle pond, climbing wall, archery, and a whole lot more.

As always, all money raised goes to support The Greenway Network, and entirely volunteer-based organization whose mission is to conserve natural resources, encourage sound management of the area's watersheds, and protect the quality of life for all of us.

Learn more and register here: https://www.racefortherivers.org

Any questions, lemme know!

Thanks!
James

Just a few more days until Race For the Rivers! We have 68 boats registered so far, and we usually get a pretty big handful of registrations in the last week. Enjoy some awesome weather on the river, and if you've got family meeting you at the finish line, they'll have plenty of cool activities to explore at the Festival in Frontier Park.

Check out the current roster:

Mike, we'll take registrations on the morning of, but it'll be much easier to get registered online ahead of time, and just make your pledge payment on the morning of. We can accept cash, check, or credit cards at the start.

Registering in advance makes it a lot easier to get rosters, leaderboard, goody bags, prizes, etc all ready to go. If for some reason you can't make it, no big deal. It's just easier to remove you from the roster than to add you morning of.

Either way, we'd be pumped to have you at the race!

There is a morning shuttle that leaves from the finish and will be pulling a trailer to bring your boat if you like. Info is about halfway down this page:

https://www.racefortherivers.org/47/the-race/race-information.php

There's another afternoon shuttle for bike riders (no trailer), that leaves in the afternoon at 3:00 PM. Info is at the bottom of this page:

https://www.racefortherivers.org/54/the-ride/ride-information.php

One of those two options ought to work for you. Let me know if they don't.

Thanks!

Yep...river was very pushy and made for some tippy paddling but were we ever flying.  Kept calling out our mile splits and we just kept going faster.  The only real mess was finding out we were on the wrong side of the channel at mile 10 when the river just blew up in front of us...it was running that wide.  What a great day!
