Tomorrow is the Epic Shootout, and the first ultra marathon of the season!  It wouldn't be the shootout if it wasn't cold and rainy...just seems like that is par for the course with this race!

However, it is supposed to clear up before noon, and the wind isn't supposed to be AS bad as originally predicted.

The race start will be at 9:00, and the safety meeting around 8:00.  Starting line is Kaw Point - Finish line is Lexington. 50 miles of butt-kicking awesomeness!

Online registration is closed, but you can register tomorrow between 7:00-8:00.

Life jackets are mandatory, make sure you bring them and wear them.  We will also have a safety boat in the water in case someone needs help during the race.  Thank you to Vicki and Larry from Healthy River Partnership!

If you can survive the race, you will be rewarded at the finish.  It is supposed to stop raining, and the sun may even peak out.  My awesome parents will be at the finish again, with Linda recording times, and my dad Hoot grilling hot dogs and sausages for everyone.  Thanks Mom and Dad!

We will also have a drawing during the awards ceremony (which will begin at approx 4:00pm, or when most people have finished).  We will have some great stuff from Ladsurfski (Thanks Ron!), and a PFD from Terry Merritt and Alliance Water Resources.  Thanks Ron and Terry!

Thanks and looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
