Stay tuned. The water is below the top of the ramp in Jerome but.... the access is closed and needs a lot of work.

Doesn't look like the Jerome access will be open any time soon. It is an absolute mess. I'm going to call this week to see how hard it is to get the start and stop locations changed to  a few accesses that are open.

The Gas is On!

Had to move the start to Schlicht Springs and the finish line to Riddle Bridge.

Both are M.D.C. public access locations.

Let's do this!

Paddlers guide says 24. I am going to do the course tomorrow if any one wants to tag along. I want to make sure there are no snags. Going to take a saw and some rope just in case.

Marilyn and  I paddled the 24 miles yesterday and it is clear. Keep in mind that the course has changes from previous years. Due to the Jerome access being closed because of the recent flood.

Starting at Schlicht Springs Access

7am registration
8:30 safety briefing
9am start

Ending at Riddle Bridge Access

My husband and I would like to do this one.  Can we assume that, since the start and stop are so close together that we can find a ride back to our vehicle?

We will take care of any body as best we can.

But being the race director as well comes with responsibility.

If anyone comes to this race and needs a shuttle we will make sure you get back to your ride. That being said... It might be after awards.  Also at the beginning of the race we will ask for volunteers to move vehicles and / or assist with shuttle.

We are hoping for some rain. The river is getting low. But have no fear this race is ON!  The reason for this update is to warn racers of the current water level. But the river gage at Hazelgreen does not account for the water added at Schlicht Springs or the springs along the way as well as the Roubidoux river/spring.   I would love to see a good turnout of aluminum canoes and plastic boats.

Fabulous.  We will try to get there early enough to be part of the vehicle shuttling.
