Results are posted!!!

http://www.midwestpaddleracing.com/Freedom_Race_Results.html

Glad everyone had a great time, and hope to see you all next time!

My mom and dad (Linda and Hoot) have been the official timekeepers each year, and every year they remark on how great and wonderfull the people are that make up the paddling community. They are right!  and I am glad to be part of that.  You should all be proud to be such great sportspeople and ambassadors.

As such, my parents just keep wanting to come back and help, and now they are very excited to be part of the Kaw races later this year!

I will keep you all updated as to when registration will open!  Until then, go prepare for the 340!!!

Here is a video from the camera's I had mounted on the front and rear of my surfski. This is just folks hanging out on the water before race start. I will post the actually race start and paddle to the Missouri River soon.

In this clip I steal David's single blade and paddle around in the v10 sport ...there is no way I could have done that in a v12....I really dig this sport for distance racing, However I did elect to return the single blade and use my wing for the race Roll Eyes

Note:

The rear mounted camera used in this clip can be bought for as little as $59 (ebay) and has a rear touch screen...the case and hardware seem a little cheesy, but work....but my thoughts are you have to be careful closing the case and handling the camera or you could easily snap something...nowhere near as solid as an actual go pro.....however, the image quality is actually pretty good.....the brand is Ematic

....well worth it if you want a tool to work on good form....and a fun toy....it will take video for about an hour on a full charge...which is way more footage that you really want to dig thru...trust me.

Bryan, congrats on another strong finish.  I am missing the competition of not paddling.  I just need to get right before I invest the time.  We have spoke about that after your injury.  You have to get well and hungry....LOL I love to see you kicking butt....... Keep it up...MD
