We're about half way through the 7th season of HD5k races, and last night was our 181st race since we started in June of 2013. it's been awesome seeing everyone progress over the years, and I look forward to this little show & go race series we have going on here every week. Others have started their own weekly races in other cities, which is also pretty cool.

Since we're at the half way point of the season I'm attaching the HD5k spreadsheet for anyone who wants to download it. This has all of the HD5k race data since the beginning. There are different tabs for each year, personal bests & course records, weather data, etc. There's a lot of good race data here you can sort and filter for.

Thanks to everyone that comes out each week to race! If you haven't raced yet come on out and set your baseline PB then try to beat it! The best thing about this race is that it's more about setting your personal best and trying to beat yourself.

Sorry I couldn’t make it out to the race tonight. Looks like it was a good race with 12 people braving the heat in 7 boats and 3 SUPs. No personal bests due to the heat and wind, but kudos to those that came out to race in spite of the less than ideal conditions! Thanks to Dave Lopez for taking times. See you all next week!

The 31st race of the season, and 197th race since 2013 wraps up another great year of HD5k races! The conditions weren’t great, but we still had 25 people come out to race in 19 boats and 6 SUPs with 3 new divisional personal bests including Doug Buescher in the Epic V8 Surf Ski with a time of 30:48 (6.08 mph), Chad Talken in the Epic V8 Pro Surf Ski with a time of 30:54 (6.06 mph), and Al Bauer setting a new course record in the Mens Solo C1 division single blading the Epic V7 Surf Ski with a time of 32:56 (5.68 mph). The full results are attached with the personal bests in green and course record in blue. Thanks to Dave Lopez for taking times, and thanks to all you great athletes for coming out each week to race! It’s hard to believe the season is ending, but there’s only 22 short weeks until the first HD5k race of 2020 on March 11th! See you then!
