💨 Incredibly windy race last night! 30 to 40 mph winds made it tough, but we had 6 people race in 4 boats and 2 SUPs with no personal bests…. Or maybe everyone should get a personal best just for making it through to the finish in those conditions!?! The results are attached below. Thanks to Dave Lopez for taking times. I just can’t wait to see what the weather gods (evil devils) have lined up for us next Wednesday! See you all next week for the 11th race of the season. Next week will also be our 115th race since we started back in 2013, so come on out and join us for the 115th HD5k!

Good race last night! Conditions were muggy and breezy, which made it difficult for most to achieve new personal bests, but at least we didn’t have any storms to deal with! We had 21 people race in 15 boats and 6 SUP’s with one person achieving a new divisional personal best for this course, which was Lyn Marie Harris in the Stellar Apex T Kayak with a time of 32:22 (5.78 mph). The complete results are attached with the personal best highlighted in green. Thanks to Ellen Robinett and Randy Hill for taking times. See you all next week for race #15 of the season!

Another windy race is in the books! I think this year is the year of the wind! The 20 to 30 mph SSW winds were a challenge last night, but it was a fun race none the less. We had 18 people race in 14 boats and 3 SUPs with one boat setting a new divisional personal best, which was paddled by Ryan Slebos and Doug Robinett setting their baseline personal best in the Men’s Tandem K2 division double blading the Slebos/Scroggins OC2 with a time of 27:46 (6.74 mph).
