Kaw Point today looking good with exposed shoreline for launching canoes and beach starting to show across the Kaw where paddlers congregate waiting for the gun.

Missouri still fast but sandbars showing in KC.

And, just looked at the forecast. At least for the next 10 days it's hot and dry in the midwest. I didn't want to see a repeat of 2010 - a fast river with no visible sand bars anywhere, and fog, but it doesn't sound like it will another 2012 with low water and high temps.

Can't wait!

God, I'm super excited! I can't wait.

As long as it isn't as hot as the 2012 Missouri River Freedom Race (112 degrees F), then I'll be happy with whatever. Heck, I wouldn't mind a storm every now and then. At least it won't be worse than the late evening storm that struck on night 2 during the 2011 October race. I've never been that cold...

Hi -  from a 1st yr paddler/crew member team,

I saw maps pages 1-8.  Can't find map pages 9-12.
Please, can you point me where to find them, or email them to me?

THANKS

Maps 9-12 are upstream of Kaw Point.  You're not gonna need them.

Does anyone have these in a smaller version? I'm in a Ski this year and I'm very limited on room.

I going to do my first MR340 next year 2018, and I am planning now as much as I can because it will be here before I know it.  I was wondering if there is information out there that has other ramp locations or places to stop other then the check points?

Thanks
Andrew
