2012 Stellar S18R Touring Kayak, demo boat, paddled only twice.  18 long, 21.5 wide, Advantage layup (vacuum-bagged fiberglass), 40.8 lbs, SeaLine rudder system, white hull, yellow deck, two hatches.  A superb touring/racing kayak with excellent speed and stability (one of the fastest sea kayaks in USCA Sea Kayak class racing).  This is essentially a brand-new boat.  Additional photos available.  Boat is currently at TC Surfski in Michigan (http://www.tcsurfski.com/Used_Boats.html), but can also be picked up in NE Indiana.  $2200.  New 2012 price is $2680 (going up in 2013).  Call Steve @ 260-452-6855 or Nick at 231-649-2703.  See: http://www.stellarkayaksusa.com/usa/s18r_kayak.html for more information on the S18R.

Do you still have your Steller for sale?  I live in Missouri, trying to figure how to and how much it would cost to get it to St Louis.  I've been looking for a used QCC700 or a Epic 18 but thought I should consider your boat.
Do you have an idea what it might cost to get the boat here.

Yes, we still have the S18R in stock.  There are a couple of ways to get the boat to you.  KAS is pretty much the standard boat carrier; they typically charge around $250 to transport a boat to you (in this case it would be from Traverse City, MI).  They do a great job, but you have to be flexible with your schedule (they tend to wait until they have a full load of boats so it can be up to a couple of months).  Another option might be to meet you half way in Terre Haute, IN.  I need to check and see if I can find someone coming down my way who could bring the boat to me, and see what my gas costs and time would be.

yt-watr, how serious are you about this boat?  I'm looking to pick a different boat up from the same person - possibly as soon as next weekend.  I only have one set of boots to carry a kayak too, so you'd need to come up with something I could mount on my car.  PM me if interested.

I have a Stellar S18 and have owned the Epic and Qcc. I think the Stellar is as just stable as both of the others and maybe a little more. I think the Stellar is faster and a much better made boat. The foot pedals alone makes it a better boat to me!

I likewise have owned a QCC700XL, Epic 18 Endurance, and the Stellar S18S, plus I've paddled this Stellar S18R and the Epic 18X.  The Stellars are just as stable as the others, and are at least as fast as the 18X.  I would say in a micro-comparison, the Stellars probably have slightly less primary and slightly more secondary than the QCC and 18 Endurance.

Note that this particular S18R is equipped with the Sea Line rudder system (like the QCC700X and the Epic 18 Endurance) rather than the footplate system that is on some of the other Stellar boats.  The S18R's have the option of either system.

My apologies; I hadn't seen your response.  Sorry, but the S18R has been sold.  Thank you for your interest!
