5:30 is fine with me. It's probably as early as I can make it anyway.

Ty,Grady and Tim G.,

We missed you out there last night. Kevin and Aleah were out in there new tandem Huki proving those things are easier to paddle faster rather than slower. Krista and Yancy caught up to us half way around the lake then proceeded to smoke us. Me? I got the chance to show everybody how to self rescue with a paddle float--twice Embarrassed Grin
It was a beautiful night and we hope to repeat it on several Mondays in the future.
P.S.  I am still tempted by the cheap Margaritas

Sorry that I missed.  No child care.  Ibby was at the restaurant so I had the kiddos.  I will be out next week.  We might even bring the Sundowner and the kids.  See you then.  Cheers!

I will be there Monday.  Snapped a rudder pedal off on Sunday.  That was a fun journey back to Mouse Creek into the wind with circling ski boats.

As long as nothing fouls up my plan, I am coming. Aleah is "thinking about it". Women.... or girls even.... Wink

I FINALLY convinced her to go out this afternoon and do 10 miles on the muddy Mo. Smiley

Monday night Longview was glass smooth with one ski boat that Kevin kept egging on to get some waves going. It's funny to watch a grown man paddling as fast as he can to try and catch a motorboat Smiley Well, I guess since he and Aleah scared off the competition from last week(hear that Krista and Yancy?) he had to challange someone.

Tim, you looked really bad in that cheap looking kruger canoe. The offer still stands at a firm $125 to take it off your hands so you can quit embarassing yourself! Embarrassed Cheesy I can't wait to get a whole group of us out to your place to swap lies over margaritas.

Ty,  I really wanted to get a photo of you when you were out in front of everyone leading the way.

I don't think anyone is trying to kill themselves on these get togethers. It's a nice conclusion to what is probably some hard practice over the weekend. Come one, come all! Everybody is welcome!

Johnnie,
I appreciate everyone taking the 10 minute break to let me pass.  I would like to see that photo too just to see how bad my form is.
I might be out there tomorrow night weather permitting.  Any takers let me know.

TY

Johnnie, looking foward to swapping boats next week.  Maybe with the double blade, I won't be bringing up the rear:)  Thanks for stopping every once in a while, guys, to let me catch up.  Had a great time.  Looking forward to more of it.  See you Monday!  Cheers

I might not be able to make it tonight. I have a catering to set up and had a death in the family so I have to leave town early in the morning. I'm still gonna try though.

Tim,
You missed another great evening on Longview lake. We did an easy 7 miles laughing and talking all the way. Ty does need to realize that drafting a boat does not really help if the boat you are drafting is slow as honey in winter. Smiley Kevin and Aleah were dualing paddles the whole time. If I never hear "shorten your stoke" again it will be too soon.

Our condolances on your loss and we hope to see you out paddling next week.

Small Group at Longview this week. Me,Ty and Tim. Just a bit of wind the first time around the lake then quiet. Ty kept going until he got noodle arms but Tim and I traded boats and basically played around. Things learned...Tim LIKES go fast kayaks with wing paddles!! He just didn't know what to do with the funny thing sticking in the water at the stern of the boat. GrinI enjoyed the change of pace but I will stick with kayaks.
Tim, the offer now stands at $100 and two sticks of slightly used gum for your Kruger. Wink
Ty and I will see you all at the Shootout Saturday.

Who is up for 5/7 at Longview?? The weather is supposed to clear for the evening except there being some wind. I put some home made thigh hooks in my boat and am tweaking it in other ways to make it ready for the Kawnivore and beyond. Come out and either congratulate me or laugh at me-- depending on the results Wink

I will most likely be there.  I might even bring a double blade to try to keep up this time.
