will the race date return to june in 2012 (corp of engineering permitting) or was the october date such a success that it would change?

Look under the countdown clock above and the posted dates are there.  July 31st - August 3rd is the projected date for now.  Summer is still the optimum time for the race, we got lucky with the weather this October, but that was not the norm.
