Having just recently paddled from Louisville point to the dam one weekend, and then chilhowee dam to the canal the next weekend, I am begging you to do this as early in the year as possible.

Excited either way.

Either one works fine for me.......if its before, I'll just do South Dakota on my way back from Tennessee, and if its after I'll just load up from South Dakota and head to Tennessee. It would make for a pretty great week  Smiley

Race corse maps found here! www.lrn.usace.army.mil../tnriver/ if that didn't work search google TN River Navigation Charts. You need map No. 88, 87, 86, 83, 85, 84, 113, 114, 115, 116. If you find your self on the Little River or Tellico River. Turn around you made a wrong turn. If this happens you nee No. 118 and 117! Safety boats or markings should keep you on track!

Sorry for so many changes! The Volunteer 80 is now part of the annual Urban Wilderness Weekend in Knoxville, TN! There will be a web site on all the details in about two weeks. I now have a  race sponsor! Thank you River Sports Outfitters! The shop will rent out kayaks at a speacial price of $20! That's  a big discount on good boats. So if you have a friend that would like to try it, bring them. There will be shorter races as well! The 80 mile course is still the big one!
