This is the boat I used in 2010 that survived and surfed with style the Wavy Lake Labarge and went on to set the solo course record. Im asking for rental the same cost as the local outfitters charge. Boat is already up in the Yukon and would be yours as soon as you arrive. Along with rental is any knowledge I have of the race. This is an advanced boat, but is fast and weighs only 25lbs. It is 16.5 ish feet long and 20 inches wide. Length to width ratio is 10.70. The lighter you are, the faster this boat will be but at 185+ Gear I had no issues what so ever. The boat is fully rigged for the YRQ which includes dual foot pump, front and back bulkheads, decking, Back hatch, and internal cockpit bags and mesh for all the gear you need access to. I may be interested in selling it also. This Boat was brand new 3 weeks before the race and only saw the water a handfull of times other than the quest it's self.

just shoot me an email if your interested

http://www.mar-kayaks.pt/en/kayaks/details/viper_51/ - It is found under the Touring Section. Here is a brief description of the boat.

"The Vipers shape fits in the Danish Rules for touring kayaks, but at the same time aspires to be faster and more comfortable than its competitors. With that in mind, its paddling position as well as the shape of deck has been improved to maximize the performance of the paddler, allowing speeds similar to the racing kayaks. The Viper has adjustable footrest and under stern rudder."
