Runnin' bank support for the "Grumpy" boat was quite an adventure for myself and my grandson, Jose.

Jose is hooked and wants a boat so he can start training to run it himself some day.

I want to thank everyone we met along the river for being so friendly and helpful. Some of the people we met had seen on local TV news that there was going to be a race coming by and came down to the river to watch.

I especially want to thank the anonymous woman who gave us the medical hydration powder at Franklyn Island. Charlie was in a really bad way and the hydration mix started him coming back to us. We would like to know where we can get the stuff. The way they paddle they can use a lot of it, HA! HA!

I can not say enough about the young lady who was so helpful at Coopers Landing where we really thought it was all over. Her father had started the race and had to drop out at Lexington. Thank you with all my heart.

WHAT A RACE!!!

Nate

The young lady at Coopers was my daughter Kim. We were glad to hear they both bounced back and finished. Hope they are feeling better.
